Hi,

We have requirement of printing Invoices for selected customers. The customer selection is through JSP page where user can select multiple customres and hit print button. On click of Print system should print each bill of each customer with using specific format.

We have designed report using Eclipse BIRT report designer and configured query. The report design has fields for single bill per report. However, with this design only one report got generated, for the first bill record of output from query. Rest all bill records were ignored. What we require is report should be generated for all bill records in output from query.

I need help/pointer here on how can we achieve this? I have been through various forums and websites but did not get required pointer.

Rgds,

Kaustubh

The user is selecting print through your JSP page correct? How are you rendering the reports? My first thought would be to write a java class using the REAPI to generate all the reports that are to be printed.

Probably the easiest, single report design way to do this is two data sets. Use a List set to data set one that selects each client ID passed in the parameters with a page break on the detail row set to after, and then an inner table with the details. This is called a master/detail report. There is an example someplace in the Report Examples view. Go to Window/Show View/Other/Report and Chart Design/Report Examples. The example is in Sub Report. In that example, the inner table has a parameter, and in the Bindings tab, it is set to the value of order number in the outer table.
