How to create Cumulative Graph(bar chart) in Birt
Pooja RS

i have to design a bar chart such that it displays data as a cumulative graph.

on x axis , months is being plotted. ( the graph is plotted for one year behind from current date. i.e if i check in month of july it would display all months from june 2012 to july 2013)

for every month, count of 5 different series to be plotted.

records would have a field called called cycle ( which can have 5 different values... which forms 5 series in graph)

record would be submitted on particular month and then cycle change could occur in some months... this data is possible to track.

if record is submitted in month feb and its cycle=A, then in feb, count of A=1 for this record.

n next change occured only in march, cycle=B and same month cycle changed to C. ie cycle=C, then in feb also

count of A=1, but in march Count of C=1.

i can track it only based on submitted date or modified date. so in feb thr is no way to trace it.

so if thr is no change then prev month state to be carried on and if changed then same month latest change to be taken ignoring all other changes in dat month.

for every record this should happen

once the record is submitted, from dat month n there on in every month til last month being displayed thr should count of dat state no matter its changed or not... n in every month it should be counted only once.

Could you suggest me to create a bar chart like dis???

or just give some idea to create a cumulative graph (bar chart) in birt???

You are wanting to display a bar chart that shows June 2012 through July 2013 and then have one series show the total of all these months, am I understanding the requirements correctly?
