We have installed Acuate BIRT Designer Professional 11 SP4 on Windows7 Enterprise SP1 32 bit operating system, when we try to launch the designer, it is asking for admin user login. Is it mandatory to be a admin user to use the designer?

The default install puts the desinger in Program Files, from what I understand the designer needs read/write access, so by default the designer is going to need to be run on a windows account with admin privileges. You can reinstall the designer to a non-default location that does not require admin read/write permissions if you want it to be run by someone with a normal role.

Well, I just noticed that we have installed the designer pro on different drive and we have assigned full rights to all the users on the installation folder. But still, when we try to launch, its asking for admin login.

Can you try installing the designer to some location like a folder on the Desktop to see if that works for you?
