New/Updated DCR in Workflow from DCT

Greetings all,
I have a question about workflow. I have a DCT that invokes a workflow based on a Save and Close. The new DCR that is created is not being picked up by my workflow, is there something I am missing? I want to be able to get the path and file name and write it to a txt file so that I am able to deploy using an external task. Can anyone provide insite to this problem?

Does anyone know how to turn off the alert box that gets popped when the user clicks close and the workflow is kicked off?
