Exporting an XML page from a Branch file

Is there any built in procedure in TeamSite to export an XML file from a branch file that contains the metadata information contained in that branch file?

DataDeploy will allow you to extract metadata associated with assets in TeamSite and have them stored in XML format, but I'm not exactly sure if this is what you're asking for - perhaps you can provide a slightly more detailed description.
