Column Grouping??

<p>Hi BIRT,</p><p> </p><p> I need to develop a report with a table grouping on column wise. This can be done in eSpreadsheet but i Birt Designer row wise grouping only we can make. Is there any method to do COLUMN GROUPING ON TABLE in Birt Designer?</p><p>If so please help me.</p><p> </p><p>Thanks,</p><p>Gautham</p>

<p>If you select your table > property editor > groups > add. You can select what column to group on from here, is this what you were looking for?</p>

<p>No Kclark. That is normal table grouping. ie we are grouping a Column in row wise. But i want to do Grouping a Cloumn in Column wise.</p><p> </p><p>Eg:</p><p> Default We are having like this: My requirement was: </p><p> </p><p>country1 country1 country2 ...</p><p> State1 State1 State2 ...</p><p> State1 State1 State2 ...</p><p>country2 </p><p> State2 </p><p> State2</p><p> . </p><p> :</p><p> </p><p>I developed this using the default option itself for the client. <p>Depending on what the underlying data looks like this looks to me like it can either be done with a crosstab table in BIRT or a crosstab-like technique in the query that produces the data set.</p>
