Branch level Custom menu item

Is there anyway to create a branch level menu item?

You can't do it in the configuration itself, but you can code your script to simply close and return if a user is not in the allowable branch when they attempt to execute it. You cannot have the menu item only appear when you are in a particular branch, though.
