Are you just trying to create a date time parameter or have a custom calendar selection parameter?

Thanks for your reply.

My purpose is to get a design example file to test date-time parameter in a program, so i only need a parameter with data-type as date-time in it, which is dedicated to the SampleDB and used to produce a report with results by something similar to the query below,

select orderNum, customer, ... from ... where OrderDate=...

Can you post an rptdesign showing what your doing? From what I understand you should be able to do

select orderNumber, customer, ... from customers where OrderDate = ?

Then you can create a report parameter and link it to your data set from the parameters window in the data set UI.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately i'm not BIRT designer. I really need an existing BIRT report design file.

It uses datetime parameters for end user to query BIRT SampleDB .

Then, i'm able to use it to validate my Java code, which is based on BIRT report engine API and invokes the method call IGetParameterDefinitionTask#getParameterDefns.

Hope this clarifies.
