DataItemHandle, set value as Integer

Hi!Can I set value into element DataItemHandle from java using BIRT API? I can't use LabelHandle and TextItemHandle, because values from this elements displayed like string values in Excel, and i can't get sum from these cells, for example. So I use DataItemHandle, cause I can set dataType. There are many exist reports where I need to correct this problem with LabelHandle. Sorry for my English

You would just need to create a data binding for the data element and then set the resultSetColumn of the element to your new binding. Hope this helps.
