set info in a table according to value in another table
alexis

Hi,

I'd like to display an info in a table according to a value in another table, e.g. set as visible a label in a cell (first table) according to a data set value in the second table being grater to a threshold.

I tried with a java variable, setting the variable in the script function 'onCreate' (second table), and testing it in the script function 'onRender' (first table), but that does not work.

Any idea ?

In the cell of the first table you could make it a PGV in the onCreate() doing something like this

var currentValue = parseInt(this.getValue());if(currentValue > 10000) { reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("hidePGV", "true")}

Then in the visibility expression editor of the label in your second table you could do something like

if(reportContext.getPersistentGlobalVariable("hidePGV") == "true") { true;}else{ false;}

It works only if the table with getPersistentGlobalVariable is AFTER the table with setPersistentGlobalVariable.

It is the same either with my method (java variable) or with yours (setPersistentGlobalVariable).

and the order of tables in may report is important
