[SOLVED] New Meter Chart

Hi all. It's my first post on this forum and I'm new in BIRT's world. I would like to create a report like a thermometer, depending on the resultset I can tell if it's a good thing or not. For exemple: Between 1 and 5: BadBetween 6 and 8: More Or LessBetween 9 and 15: Good And the report would show a "meter" with the needle point at some place in the meter, depending on resultset. It turns out that I can't find some good chart to illustrate this kind of thing. I worder if it's possible to create or import or add a new kind of chart, so I can choose it from BIRT workspace. That is a Flash gadget from the commercial version of BIRT. If you're interested in that, you can download a free trial from Downloads -> Get BIRT on this site. If you're wanting to use this in the open source version, you can find a similar meter chart as a standard chart type. To add a chart to your layout, grab chart from the palette to your design or right click in your design and choose insert -> chart. With the meter chart type, you can add colored ranges to represent the ranges you have listed above. Hope this helps.

Thanks for answering. I've tried to use the standart meter chart. But I can't make things works right. I've created 3 regions. In Eclipse editor things look fine, but when I run the report, I don't get the result I want. Eclipse Chart Editor Window

What I get

Under "Format Chart" -> "Value Series", did you go to the "Scale" button and set your chart's min and max to what you need it to be?

Great! Glad to hear it's working for you! No need to mark the post as solved. There is no option to do that. What I see people do if they do anything is to change the title of the post to [SOLVED] Original Title, but that's up to you.
