Web CMS (TeamSite)
CGI
System
Is there any way to know what file the user selected in the teamsite user interface from within the Custom menu item? My problem is i'm working on a cgi script (custom menu item) which the user invokes after selecting a file in the TS User interface. I want to get the VPath of this file from within the CGI. Is it possible?
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Krishna,
Selected files are passed into the CGI as "file_n" where n is a number starting with 0 and going up to one less than the number of files selected. There are also several other parameters passed when files are selected.
As a suggestion, add show_env.cgi as a custom menu item on your system. It will show you the various things your CGI is getting passed. You should be able to play around with it selecting and not selecting files and see all the parameters that change.

You may not get the exact vpath, but you will get enough info to construct pretty much anything you need. To get a full list of parameters passed, play around with this CGI:
show_env.cgi
So, add the following menu item:
custom_menu_item_manifest="View", "Show Env", "show_env.cgi", "master", "scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=640,height=545"
Refresh the GUI.
Select a few files and run the CMI. You will see all the available variables.
Is this what you are looking for?
