Avoid automatic merge if rows are repeating
arcimreed

Hey guys,

i have an issue my crosstab design. If a row content is repeating, birt automatically merges them into one cell. For example like this:

| Country | City |

| | Graz |

| Austria | Linz |

| | Vienna |

| Bulgaria | Sofia |

What I want is something like this:

| Country | City |

| Austria | Graz |

| Austria | Linz |

| Austria | Vienna |

| Bulgaria | Sofia |

Is there any way to avoid automatic combining of cells in BIRT ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Arcim

In the onRender() of the country group in your crosstab you could do something like

reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("country", this.getValue())

Then make that group and it's header invisible. Then you could add that pgv in the onRender() of the city group

this.setDisplayValue(reportContext.getPersistentGlobalVariable("country") + " " + this.getValue() )
