How to add heading in cross tab for summary fileds

<p>hi</p><p> </p><p>i am facing small problem, i am using 3.7.2 birt version</p><p> </p><p>my problem description</p><p>
</p><p> </p><p>please look at following image , ( this cross tab report of summary fields portion)</p><p> </p><p>in cross tab image , all subjects are summarily fields like Maths,social,.....etc</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Now I want to give super heading for all summaries fields like <strong>Subjects</strong></p><p> </p><p>exmaple</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
</p><p> | <strong>Subjects </strong> |</p><p> school Name
</p><p> |Maths | science | English |</p><p>-

<p>You could add a label in a grid above your crosstab and put your category name in it. You could create a computed column with the value of "Subjects", then use this as a dimension in your cube and the subject field as the sub-group.</p><p> </p><p>Hope this helps.</p>

<p>Here's an example. It uses a scripted dataset, so the computed column isn't exactly how you'd probably do it, but all you would need to do is to go into your dataset editor, go to the computed columns section, create a new computed column of string type, and use the expression "Subjects". This will create a column with all rows with that value. From there, you just use the field as a dimension in your cube and crosstab. Hope this helps.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<p>You would have to determine a way to change the value of the "header" field to the appropriate value in your computed column. Can you post a sample of what your actual data looks like?</p>
