<p>Can anyone explain the difference between Actuate BIRT Viewer and Actuate BIRT Interactive Viewer.</p><p> </p>

<p>Hi RepBIRT,</p><p> </p><p>BIRT viewer is a simple viewing UI. You've got page function like next/previous/Last.....save as, export..... but you can't modify the report on the web.</p><p>The Interactive viewer is "interactive". It means that the end user can "work" with the generated report directly on his browser:</p><p>He can do sort function, filter, add field, computed column, conditionnal formating, etc....</p><p>All this modification are done on the final document (.rptdocument), so the original rptdesign isn't change, but, the user have also the possibility to save the template+his modification (as a copy) in a rptdesign.  file. So our final user can really create is own report based on a template.</p>
