The headings you have would just be another dimension in your cube. So, you'd need to have a field in your dataset that had a value for the heading group. The crosstab would do the rest.

Can you show me exactly what your data looks like? I think I talked with you on the NewsGroup about this and there was some confusion to how you'll know what type of data you'll have to create the header or if there is something in your data that tells you. Let me know. Thanks!

hi william thanks for quick reply,

all are header of crosstab , we will decide based on summary columns,

if it is possible give one exmaple..

Advanced Thanks

Sure. An easy example to explain would be to say you had data like:

YEAR (row dimension) | Product Line (Header) | Product (Column dimension) | Sales (Measure)

If you created a cube with YEAR as one dimension, Product Line (your header field) as another dimension, Product as a sub dimension of product line, and sales as your measure, these "headers" would automatically show up.

I can build this example if you'd like, but you will have to have a field to be the header value. You can create a computed column in your dataset to determine this field's value for each row based on the other values in the row, but somehow, you'll need to have this "header" field.

Hope this helps.

Here is an example. If you look at the preview of the results in the dataset, you'll see how the results are returned. The crosstab then easily shows the header for the different groups.
