Open parameters dialog box with run mapping

<p>Hi</p><p>I am running a report with the "run" mapping (not the "frameset" one).</p><p>This report has one parameter I would like the user to be able to change.</p><p> </p><p>I am trying to find how, in this display of the birt report, I could put 1 button to open the parameter Dialog box to change my parameter and relaunch the report.</p><p> </p><p>I would like to display the same button that is present in the frameset mapping "run report"</p><p> </p><p>Any help or hint welcome.</p><p> </p><p>Olivier</p>

<p>You could create a text item at the top of your report and use some code like this:</p><pre class="_prettyXprint"><html><head><script>function toggle_visibility() { var e = document.getElementById("params"); if(e.style.display == 'block') { e.style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById("showhide").value = "Show"; } else { e.style.display = 'block'; document.getElementById("showhide").value = "Hide"; }}function hide() { var e = document.getElementById("params"); e.style.display = 'none';}</script></head><body><input type="submit" value="Show" id="showhide" onClick="toggle_visibility();"><div id="params" style="display: none;">test</div></body></html></pre><p>Then in the div you might be able to use the tag library to create a custom parameter page, giving it the /run option.  It should reload your report in the same page.</p>
