auto-search in Birt report

<p>Doing a quick glance at your code I see where your doing the auto complete but I don't see how your passing the parameter to your report. After the parameter is selected and the click submit you'll need to construct a URL with the parameter value and forward them to that page or force NewParameter to match the value of the auto complete field.</p>

<p>Take a look at my example, it has two JSP pages to do this. The library you're using to do the auto-complete wants the array filled before I could get the possible choices. On the first JSP page I grabbed all of the parameter selections. Then separated them with commas, then passed them via URL parameter to the second page. In the second page I split the values into an array. Once it's in an array the auto-complete parameter can be built.</p><p> </p><p>Once the user clicks "run report" I was able to grab the value from the auto-complete text box, build the new url, and forward them to the report.</p><p> </p><p>Let me know if you have any questions.</p>
