Suppressed Column in hidden list on IV
rrp2

Hello,

I am suppressing one of the column in my report by using a suppress code type value from Front End.

Now, if the user picks up the option to suppress the column from Front End, and runs the report then he won't see that column on the report and if he wants to see that column in hidden list, Is that possible to show in hidden list on IV?

For me looks like suppress is suppress so it won't show in hidden columns list either.

Is there a way to accommodate it or that is how the IV supports the suppressed columns?

--Thanks

I am not sure what front end you are using to 'suppress' a column. The rule is a follows. In BD Pro if you set the column visibility to false then the column will not show up in Show Column dialog, however if you set the Display property to 'No Display', it will show up. In IV if you delete the column then the column will not show up in Show Column dialog, however if you hide the column, it will show up.

BTW, what version are you using?

mblock,

I mean when user builds a package from Front End, we have few report options for few columns where he can suppress the column by choosing the display , suppress option in Front End.

So, if he chooses suppress the column will not appear in the report and as well as in hidden list on the IV.

My question is can we make it appear as part of hidden list on IV.

As I said in the beginning do not use visibility if you want it show in the list in IV. [color=rgb(0,0,0);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;]The rule is a follows.
