How to hide grouping column in Crosstab

<p>hi</p><p> </p><p>I have few problems with crosstab,</p><p> </p><p>1) how to hide cross tab column (i.e either grouping  or summarized )</p><p>2) how to how No Records Found mesage if crosstab/datacube doesn't contain data</p><p>3) how to increase accesss speed of birt reports (i.e rendering speed)</p><p>4) how to an dynamic grouping column for crosstab</p><p>5) while exporting to excel , excel column are meshing up  i.e merging  i.e instead birt table single column it is taking multipe columns</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>very urgent  please,</p><p> </p><p>Thanks Advanced</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<p>If you want to hide your crosstab if there is no data you could use a script like this</p><pre class="_prettyXprint">function onCreateCrosstab( crosstabInst, reportContext ){ if( reportContext.evaluate("dimension['Group2']['CUSTOMERNUMBER']") == null) { crosstabInst.getStyle().display="None"; reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("xtabHidden", "true") }else{ reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("xtabHidden", "false") }}</pre><p>Then create a label under the crosstab and user a script like this in the visibility expression editor.</p><pre class="_prettyXprint">if(reportContext.getPersistentGlobalVariable("xtabHidden") == "true") { false;}else{ true;}</pre><p>And there are a lot of things you can do to speed up your report.  What I've found makes the biggest impact is trying to do your grouping and aggregations in your query when possible.</p>
