List with horizontal display
minthril

Hello,

I would like to design report, which has list (for example car brand) in normal (vertical) order. In every row of list will be another list with horizontal order and will have detailed data (according to earlier example: car models).

The main problem is that I dont know how to change (or if it is possible) order of displaing of list -> from vertical to horizontal.

As far as I know - I can not use crosstab because in every entry of detailed data I want to put some chart(s) and image.

I am according image to show what I am thinking about. [The green rectangles will be elements (columns - after setting horizontal order) of the list]

Thanks in advance for help and suggestion/idea,

minthril

Thanks a lot mblock!

I am new in BIRT so had a little problems to realize your advice but I found out that I should to change Display to Inline and now it looks good

One more question.. Is possibility in BIRT to make one of table columns expandable horrizontaly? (I dont care if I will have to scroll 4 times width of my display to right to see last entry)
Now I receive in the list horizontal entries but when there are too much of them list make additional row..

In attachment I am sending files of dummy project (preffered localisation c:BirtEx - because of simple flat files) with this case and image of what I receive (img1) and what I would to receive(img2).

Thanks for your help!

ok, I resolved it
There was need to set in the list -> properties -> general - >"Whitespace" to "No wrapping". Not "auto" like before.

Additionally - in "layout" -> properties -> general -> Layout Preference: Auto Layout

Thanks for your support
