Hi,

Is there a way to track, what report has been called by what IP and what hyperlink for a drill down has been used to call another reports? I am looking for something like a regular web traffic analyzer for BIRT reprots.

Or can I use any common web traffic analyzer for this?

Thanks for any hint!

Max

You could go with either solution here. I think you should be able to use jquery to get the client IP address. You could place this code somewhere in your report and to get the report name, ip address, and current time. Then you could take that data and dump it somwhere like a json file, mysql, postgres etc. The problem with this is you need to make sure to put this code in every report you want to track. So it might be easier to go with a web traffic analyzer unless you need something specific.

Edit:

After talking to mwilliams you don't need to use jquery for this, you can use the following to get the IP

reportContext.getHttpServletRequest().getRemoteAddr();
