Check Boxes for Input in ListBox itself?

For my case, there are too many choices for the SystemType input itself (more than 100 of them). If I were to have the implementation as what are below weblink do, it would be very untidy.

I would like to put those SystemType in the ListBox itself, with the option of the checkbox inside for the user to select. Is that possible? It is like the attached file of the CheckListBox which is easily implemented in Visual Studio.

If not, can you suggest other possible option?
Please see attached zip file, which contains the input and output.

You're report has over 100 checkbox parameter and you'd like a better way to organize them, is this correct? Have you tried building a custom parameter page? You could use some javascript to put the selections in an area that allows the user to scroll. Or are these parameters cascading where you only want some to show if others are selected?

i had searched over i found this post.... my requirement .is also same.....for example ....i have country and state as cascading parameter...but .in state i need a check box...to select multiple check-box as parameter.....if u provide a sample db its useful........

Hi kClark, thanks for your reply.I download and tried your example. It is somewhat close to what I need, but I think I need some tweaking/adjustment to cater to my needs...let me explain...one of my fields from the table contain the SystemType, see attached file. The total number of SystemType could easily be more than 200 of them, and putting all of them as a Single input would look messy. I would like the SystemType to be separated into 2 inputs (MainSystemType and SubSystemType). MainSystemType would contain the first four digits of the SystemType, that is 0002, 0005, 0013, 0016, 0017, 0020, 0084, 0085 and 0108.SubSystemType would contain the last 3 digits of the SystemType, that is 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 083, 084, 901, etc, depend on which MainSystemType. Is there any way that BIRT is able to retrieve those MainSystemType and SubSystemType as their inputs? thanks.

Sorry for the late reply. I solved this by creating two computed columns in the dataset to split the type into two. I then used these values in two multiselect parameters. Take a look at what I've attached and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Kclark, thanks for the attached file, but I could not key in anything inside p1 and p2. Anyway, my application needs is such that, when BIRT first starts, it loads its SystemType into its MainSystemType and SubSystemType, is that possible? Presently, I have to manually key in all those MainSystemType and SubSystemType for their inputs. I want it such that when BIRT first loads, its MainSystemType and SubSystemType are already loaded from the table in the database. And when certain MainSystemType is selected, its corresponding SubSystemType values are loaded to its SubSystemType field. I attached a printscreen and all its SystemType for a better explanation. I would appreciate if the response if prompt. thanks.
