header change while pagebreak

Hi there, I want to display 'continue' after the header which i am using while a pagebreak whic occurs naturally.. For eg: If i am using "reportH" as my header , I want 2 display "reportH continued" to all the pages preceeding to the first page.I am using a list for my report. On the header section ihave displayed the header name. I am not forcing page breaks anywhere. The pages are breaking automatically. I tried using the method provided in <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/forum/index.php?/topic/29714-need-to-show-continue-if-group-continue-in-next-page/'>http://www.birt-exchange.org/forum/index.php?/topic/29714-need-to-show-continue-if-group-continue-in-next-page/</a>but it was not working. I have tried putting the following function:if (pageNumber > 0){ vars{"reportHeader"}= "reporH continued"}but this also failed. The pageNumber value always returns 1 even if the autotext pagenumber is showing 2I also tried putting in the list's onPageBreak script somthing like reportContext.setPageVariable(reportHeader, "The value which needed to be displayed") by creaing page variable but in vain. I am using birt 4.2.2 version. Any help is appreciated.............. Thanks

Take a look at the example I've attached. You'll need to look at the onCreate() and onPageBreake() of the table as well as the onCreate() of the table detail row.

Thanks for the reply Clark. But what i found here is that you have created a table and grouped them on the basis of a order number. Actually the report which I am working on has a list and a lot of details in it. This inside consists of some tables and lots of static data. Due to lots of static data the page is extemding to other page. So in such case will grouping the data work??. On what basis should i group the data? . The structure is such that all the static data has been put inside a list. What i tried was on the list i created created two scripts with a variableI created a variable H1 . In the onPrepare script of the list i added: reportContext.setGlobalVariable("H1", "header")and then on the onPageBreak script of the list i added: vars["H1"]=" header continued" I created the variable H1 as a page variable as well as report variable but both didnt work......
