problem with default date parameters

<p><strong>I have created a simple actuate 11 report using a table to display data.  When the user runs the report, they are prompted to enter a start date and an end date.   As defaults, the start and end dates display the current date, and if the user wants to change them, they get a drop down to choose the date desired.  I coded this by entering “new Date()” as the default value for the start date parameter and end date parameter.  I’ve been asked to change the default values for each date (the start date should show today’s date minus 8, and end date should show today’s date minus 1), and they can change the dates accordingly by selecting a different date with the drop down arrow.  Can someone tell me how to code these default dates?  Thank you. </strong></p><p> </p><p> </p>
