Dynamic Master Page Image

Hi,

I'm trying to get a image (company logo) to show on the Master page header based upon the user information passed that is running the report. The master page image that defaults needs to change for each user running the report since we have 21 organizations, and 18 logos that use the same report.

The current Master Page defaults to the image referenced in the properties file.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I'm on BIRT3.7.1

Thanks so much!

Greg

For the image you can put an expression. How do you know in your application which user is running the report (or which organization)?

Hi mblock,

I believe the + " where " + params["where"] in the open method gets the record parameter (orgid) and passes it. We are using Maximo and need to have the orgid or siteid change the image based upon this passed parameter. Just not sure how to create the expression to change the image to reflect that. Hope that makes sense.

The org id and site id are not always passed in the parameter where (just tested it). So it really depends on your implementation. Is this for all reports? Some reports have this returned in the queries. Bottom line is if you have the site id somewhere in the report you can set a persistent global variable and the use it in the expression of he image (or worst case use the onRender method)
