Hello everyone,

I am trying to generate a report that when I extract it to .xls file, the filename would have a date on it and also, if possible that the name of the report is not base on the rptdesign file.

I found this post, and tried his example here. I have put the .class file in the birtWEB-INFclasses and change the web.xml part that has the BIRT_FILENAME_GENERATOR_CLASS to this:

 <context-param> <param-name>BIRT_FILENAME_GENERATOR_CLASS</param-name> <param-value>my.filename.generator.MyFilenameGenerator</param-value> </context-param>

yet it isn't working.. the extracted filename is still base on the .rptdesign file.. I don't know what I am missing.

I am using BIRT 2.3.2.

Please help me out.

I really appreciate any help.

Thank you very much.
