problem placing Grid and Table side by side

Hi i need to place Grid and Table in a single row. I mean both side by side. I have changed the display property of both the elements to "inline". Even after changing they are not being placed side by side. Is it possible to display them in a single row?

Use a grid with 2 cells (one row 2 columns). Put the grid in one cell and the table in the other.

So what is the point of having that property useless. Any ways the solution you provided is cool. That solves my problem anyway. Thank you so much.
