Mmm, what do you mean with tooltips?Is this on the edit chart windows the " Series > Value Series > "Interractivity Button" > Tooltip Text ? Is this case (in fact for all label/text made with javascript syntax), use the javascript function String.fromCharCode() and the ISO code / unicode of your character. for squared it is String.fromCharCode(178) for other unicode, look <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='https://www.google.fr/#q=special+characters+unicode'>here </a>or <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unicode_characters'>here</a> for a smiley, it is String.fromCharCode(9786)....etc

That works perfectly.
