Hi Glo_fr, the table is a BIRT table. and "[color=rgb(0,0,0);font-family:'courier new', courier, monospace;]grp2 | col3 | col4" would refer to column headers (colX) and the grouping (grpX) from the group column. Thus, grp2 is not a real column header.[/color] Please let me know if I can be more specific.

In BIRT, you can also use a simple test (if(col1== null) {col3} else {col1}) if you always have 4 columns
.There are a lot of solutions. Depends of your needs
