Two nested tables report, variable height rows, two much space left

[color=rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;]I am pretty new to BIRT, but already made several reports.[/color][color=rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;]I attached 3 images, page 1, 2 and 3 of my rendered report (there are 4 more pages, so the 3 is not the last).[/color]What I am trying to do without success, is that all the pages could be filled with as many items as possible, always considering that the same item numbers are in both tables.I attach the report file and the xml source as well. each table object has "Page break interval" property - set it to required value.Or set it to 0 - make BIRT auto maintain this. Also set padding up and down to 0...

Try delete all empty Label items - size then will auto adjust to data... It worked for me, so may be you don't need them at all?

I deleted all the labels, but nothing happens, still the same behaviour.You deleted the rows also?

Can you try this and let me know if it works? I can't run your report. I set the parent table's page break to 0.

Hi Kristopher,Thank you very much for your response.Why can't you run the report? The one that you send me runs on your system?I am afraid that I am getting the same results.The first page, is filled with the two first records, and it's OK, there is no more room for another one, but in the second and the next ones, the records are much smaller, so there is plenty of room for more than two records in those pages, and it keeps displaying two records per page. There shouldn't be free blank space in the middle pages, or at least where there is more room for another record.Is there a way to make that variable, depending on the record size?Thank you again, Diego
