webdesk gone crazy

the project manager has apparently promised that the QA TeamSite server could be configured and delivered with all of the customizations today. When I try to use WebDesk the performance is terrible. I found these files in IWHOME/local/logs/iwui. Does anyone know what causes this?

we're using web desk. we also found out that the performance is much worses than web desk pro.
i've just looked for the logfile but we haven't one in this directoy (!?)
we're using teamsite 5.5.2 on solaris 8.
