Grid with margins - unexpected behavior
Tomas.Vala

Hello,

here's the thing.

1. One-column grid is placed on an empty rptdesign, all attributes are left to defaults.

- Looks as expected in designer. OK

- Renders as expexted. OK

2. Now set all margins to i.e. 3cm.

- Looks as expected in designer.

- Renders respecting left and top margins. OK

- Left-margin is not deducted from grid width. Grid width is too big to fit the page, right part of grid is therefore rendered off-page and not to be seen. WRONG

- No matter whether grid width is left undefined (default) or set to 100% it's being rendered too big to fit the page. Makes no sense. WRONG

See attachments.

That surely can't be right. At minimum editor-designer view is not wysiwyg and behavior of renderer not what one would expect to be.

It's frustrating to keep hitting and wrestling oddities like this.

Regards,

Tomas

I'm trying to find a good workaround for you. The only thing I've been able to do as you've done in your example is set canshrink to true. You might be able to adjust the right padding by subtracting the left from the onCreate() Can you <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

a bug for this please?
