setting the position of grid in script

Hello, I'm trying to manually create a grid in the beforeFactory script. I want to set it's position. I have a GridHandle object (given to me by reportContext.getDesignHandle().getElementFactory().newGridItem(...)). I tried the following: newGrid.setVerticalPosition("100px");
newGrid.setHorizontalPosition("100px"); They didn't work. How does one set the position of an object like a grid? I'm working in Actuate BIRT Designer Pro (v3.7.2). Thanks

You could do this client-side in html outputs by using a HTML text box. Otherwise, you'll have to use grids to position something exactly where you want it.
