<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>i've noticed that BIRT PDF Emitter writes unnecessary verbose info to PDF metadata when running on Linux.</p><p> </p><p>Viewing PDF in Acrobat a following information is shown:</p><pre class="_prettyXprint">Application: BIRT Report Engine /usr/local/apache-tomcat-7.0.37/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib/org.eclipse.birt.runtime-4.3.1.jar</pre><p>Running on Windows, more expectable metadata is included in PDF:</p><pre class="_prettyXprint">Application: BIRT Report Engine</pre><p>I don't think PDF consumer should be provided with such kind of "confidential" information. If anything a text like "BIRT Report Engine $versionnumber" would be more appropriate.
