<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>i have two data sets and want to combine them via a joint data set.</p><p> </p><p>1.) filter for all testcases</p><p> </p><p>id, group</p><p>91757 test</p><p>91757 test</p><p> </p><p>2.) filter for testcases with testlogs</p><p> </p><p>id, verdict, group</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p> </p><p>when i combine them via joint data set (via full outer join):</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p>91757 Passed test</p><p> </p><p>why does birt double the rows?</p><p> </p><p>thanks</p>

<p>Because every id in the first data set joins to 2 id's in the second data set.</p><p>What else would you expect?</p>

<p>Hi Kidtorres,</p><p>That won't help. Look at the data: two times the same id in the first data set, two times the same id in the second data set. No matter what join type you use, it will always produce 4 rows in the resultset.</p>

<p>Yes, but I think that those are not the correct values of the tables, if not they dont have PK, its very strange jaja,</p><p>I think the correct way to do it, unless he need a full outer join, its to do it with the inner join and select the related columns</p>
