changing the GUI of teamsite

hi all
i m trying to execute a command from within teamsite..............
so for that i wanted one more button on the toolbar (which already contain some buttons like edit file, view file...., submit and so on)
in a nut shell,..... a button on the exsting toolbar of teamsite user interface which executes my command.

so far i know it's impossible to add a button in web desk or web desk pro. you have to wait for team leo

It is possible to change the TS GUI if you know the name of jsp file to put the button. The files are located in \\iw-home\httpd\webapps\webdesk\templating
After modify the file(s), run iwreset -ui which will recompile the jsp page

Modifying product files will always get into you trouble later on.
Custom Menu Items is probably your best solution

Interwoven seems to still be releasing TeamSite patches very frequently. Every time you patch you may have to reconfigure your customizations if you edit files other than config files, woofties, etc. Also, if you do things that are non-standard or not documented, users might get familiar with things that you might not be able to get working in future releases.
I agee with Johnny, you should be very resistant to changing these types of files.
