Hi,

I need to create a table like:

Did you try to create a date cube and add a crosstab to your report?

And set the crosstab's orientation to 'vertical' that should be work for you.

Search the DevShare for Inline

Tried cross tab, but it didn't work correctly because it has no function to "line break".

Searched inline measures and found one youtube video and tried to do this with lists which causes the "left headers" to show multiple times.

Not found a good solution yet...

Did you see this?

<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

I did. It was pretty much OK, but with that all I got was like:

| group1 | | g2 | | g3 |

| header1 | data11 | | h1 | d12 | | h1 | d13 |

| header2 | data21 | | h2 | d22 | | h2 | d23 |

| header3 | data31 | | h3 | d32 | | h3 | d33 |

page break

| g4 | | g5 |

| h1 | d14 | | h1 | d15 |

| h2 | d24 | | h2 | d25 | ETC......................

| h3 | d34 | | h3 | d35 |

When I need to have like

| group1 | g2 | g3 |

| header1 | data11 | d21 | d31 |

| header2 | data21 | d22 | d32 |

| header3 | data31 | d23 | d33 |

page break

| g4 | g5 |

| header1 | d41 | d51 |

| header2 | d42 | d52 | ETC.............................

| header3 | d43 | d53 |

This makes it much more complicated. A few questions:

1. Can you provide sample data to build an example from?

2. What version of BIRT are you using?

3. Are the number of columns fixed or is it dependent on the data.

Hablaaja

1. In what form would you like to that data to be... for example the data can be what ever like:

groups are car models: bmw, audi, volvo, fiat, honda, toyota

headers are just labels like: model, color, year

so the rows you got from database could be like:

1) bmw, 325i, black, 2013;

2) audi, RS4, yellow, 2012;

3) volvo, V70, blue, 2010;

4) bmw, M5, Orange, 2013;

5) fiat, stilo, brown, 2006;

6) honda, CRV, blue, 2009;

7) toyota, celica, green, 1994;

2. <report xmlns="http://www.eclipse.org/birt/2005/design"
; version="3.2.23" id="1">

<property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 4.2.2.v201301221637 Build <4.2.2.v20130206-1509></property>

So that would be 4.2.2?

3. The number of columns are dependent of the data.

a CSV file would be great.

Here you go !

Not enough data to need a page break. Also what do you want in columns and what do you want as the rows, and lastly what is the measure (in the cell of the crosstab)?
