Hey guys, is there a possibilty to format a datetime in a dynamic text field?<pre class="_prettyXprint _lang-js">"EintrÃ¤ge fÃ¼r den " + row["Date"]</pre>thats my example. found no way now and working with a simpledateformatter wont work

For a Data Element the expression would look like this:<pre class="_prettyXprint">"Right now it is: " + Formatter.format(new Date(), "yyyy-MMM-dd hh:mm:ss")</pre>For a Text Element it would look like this:<pre class="_prettyXprint">Right now it is: <VALUE-OF format="yyyy-MMM-dd hh:mm:ss" >new Date()</VALUE-OF></pre>

If you want to set the same DT format globally for every string instance, you can define a function in the initialize method, then call it anywhere. //Any format you want...df = new Packages.java.text.SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy H:mm:ss") //call it like thisdf.format(yourDate); Brian
