BIRT is calling a multiple result set stored procedure multiple times

<p>I have a stored procedure that is written specifically to assist BIRT to create a report. The stored procedure is returning multiple result sets. BIRT is calling the stored procedure multiple times which makes the report run very slow.  What is the best practice of setting up BIRT to call the stored procedure only once to get all of the result sets as a data sets, i.e. one data set per result set?</p>
