BIRT Viewer toolkit undr Ubuntu and Tomcat7 Issues

<p>Hi everyone.</p><p> </p><p>We are integrating a development encironment for BIRT viewer reports. We have this already running under Windows. But we want to test it under Ubuntu.</p><p> </p><p>We had installed tomcat 7, under ubuntu 12.04, it works. No problems.</p><p> </p><p>We installed BVT and it it simple as unpack the WAR packagem edit web.xml and copy the new WAR package under tomcat /webapps folder for deployment.</p><p> </p><p>So, new package under /webapps and under tomcat we can see the deployed package, but wen running it, (testing page landing.jsp) it won't work. We have a pointer error</p><pre>java.lang.NullPointerException </pre><p>thi son page 26 of the landing .jsp</p><p> </p><p>Additional info:</p><p> </p> Tomcat Version JVM Version JVM Vendor OS Name OS Version OS Architecture   Apache Tomcat/8.0.1 1.7.0_51-b00 Oracle Corporation Linux 3.8.0-36-generic amd64 <p> </p><p> </p><p>has anyone tryed to run it under Ubuntu?</p><p>Have you been succesful?
