Hi,

Previously i had deployed BIRT using report engine with XML as datasource by passing xml as inputsteam in following way -

HashMap contextMap = new HashMap();contextMap.put("org.eclipse.datatools.enablement.oda.xml.inputStream",xmlFile);contextMap.put(EngineConstants.APPCONTEXT_PDF_RENDER_CONTEXT,renderContext);task.setAppContext(contextMap);options = new RenderOption();options.setOutputFormat(reportFormat);options.setOutputStream(baoStream);task.setRenderOption(options);task.run();

Now i'm trying to generate reports using the JDBC as datasource and i've passed the connection parameters in the below mentioned way -

Properties contextMap = new Properties();contextMap.put(EngineConstants.APPCONTEXT_HTML_RENDER_CONTEXT,renderContext);contextMap.put("odaDriverClass", "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");contextMap.put("odaURL", "jdbc:oracle:thin:
@srv49:1521:ORCL");contextMap.put("odaUser", "test_DB");contextMap.put("odaPassword", "test_DB");task.setAppContext(contextMap);options = new RenderOption();options.setOutputFormat(reportFormat);options.setOutputStream(baoStream);task.setRenderOption(options);task.run();

But sadly its not working in this way.

1st is it proper what i'm doing ?

After creating the template i've removed the DB url, DB name and password from the template file and placed it in the deployment path.
