Dynamic hiding of Crosstab Summary Column
shir

Hi,

I have a cross tab with 3 summary columns. Due to design requirement i need to display only 2 columns, (i.e. hide one column).

I tried it by couple of methods

> I tried with the 'Visibility' option, Hide Element for all outputs.

> by the java script method.

function onPrepareCell( cell, reportContext )

{

reportContext.getDesignHandle().getElementByID(189).setStringProperty("width","0px");
reportContext.getDesignHandle().getElementByID(185).setStringProperty("width","0px");

}

Both these does the trick, however there are some issues

> Even though the column is hidden, however in HTML format there is a small width still remaining.

> In XLSX, format we get an empty column.

Aditionally when i try with the onPrepareCell

function onPrepareCell( cell, reportContext )
if(some condition){
if( cell.getCellID() == cell#){
cell.getStyle().setDisplay("none");
}
}

This dosent work, since i have a Grand total column at the end and the report gets misaligned

Is there any other way to achieve this, where the column gets hidden in XLSX format too ??

Take a look at this
thread. You should be able to hide a column by setting that column style to none.
