I'm using a grid to divide my report. Tables of data-sets could be inside of the grid-cells. Normaly such result-tables have no header and footer rows. Depending of the report-parameter it could happens, that the result-set has no rows. That's why the included table will not be generated. This is correct.

My problem is: Such a grid-cell, which contains no result-table or other data fields is an empty-cell. If you are generating a word document you are not be able to enter such a cell in the word-editor and to edit such a cell eg. for remarks.

If you are generating HTML output this cell has the following property:

My questions are:

Is it possible to modify the styles in the designing phase to prevent “non word usable empty cells

If not, is it possible to create a script e.g. “on render cell†to check if the cell is really empty? If yes I would set the cell value to HTML blank ( ).

I have prepared a test-report. If you are using as report-parameter 10 and 15 you will get such an empty cell.

Thank you

Why not simply have two objects in the cell. one the a table the other a label (with no text). Set the visibility on the label to appear in Word only and if the table is empty.

Thank you for this workaround. A lable inside the footer with the correspondig checks works very well. The modified example is in the attachement
