<p>Hi, </p><p> </p><div>When we restart a J2EE application embedding a birt runtime (i tried from v3.7 to v4.3.2), there is a large memory leak in "PermGen" memory of the application server such Tomcat or jBoss. Both Eclipse WebViewer and apparently the toolkit viewer have this problem: if we restart them a few times in Tomcat we quickly run OutOfMemory.</div><div> </div><div>In fact all classes are kept in memory, we loose about 50Mb each time we restart / undeploy the application. I reported this issue 2 years ago as <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=373761'>bug 373761</a>, does anyone have news about it? Or is it considered as an unavoidable behavior that we should deal with?</div><div> </div><div>Unfortunately the ability to restart applications separately is a key point in many J2EE contexts, and sometimes applications are rejected because of this. Please let me know if i missed something, and how i could help to investigate and fix this problem. </div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div>
