Birt Report not showing up image in Birt 3.7.1

Could anyone please suggest , image not showing up when Birt report is being viewed in xls format, I am using Birt 3.7.1 version. Thanks.

It is being uploaded using Embeded image option, it is a gif file.

I just tested this with a simple report an had no problem. Can you take a screenshot of the 'Edit Image Item' dialog?

You have not added any image. You need to click on add image and add the image.

This uses Maximo data. I cannot run this report. Can you reproduce using Classic Models sample database?

I think it has something to do with your specific image. It works with your image and XLSX. It works with a different image (GIF) with XLS. It only does not work with your image and XLS. Can you try a different image?

Run the attached report. You will see the Actuate image works but the GE image does not. I am still guessing that it has something to do with image incompatibility with XLS. In XLSX both images appear.

Yes, weird. try saving the image as a JPG and see if that works. I still think it is an issue with your specific image.
