How to mark and display only maximum and minimum value as well as time-axis

<p>We have a simple line chart with time on x-axis and some values on Y axis. We want to just display and mark the maximum and minimum value in line chart and not all the values. How is it possible?</p><p> </p><p>Also on x-axis we are getting values for every 15 minutes for same date but on the x-axis we want to just display the hour number and not full date. We notice that if we do that, the chart can aggregate the values for that hour and display them but we do not want to do that as then the chart is very zigzag and not smooth. Please suggest so that it can plot for every 15 mins but display only the hour on x-axis. We tried with formattinf and displaying just hours but then they repeat hours many a times. we want to just display hours from 0-24 in interval of 1.</p><p> </p><p>If you need report sample, let me know and I will post it.
