Restrict super user and user in birt report

<div>Here i come with a problem to restrict a admin privialge and user a,b,c privialge ::</div><div> </div><div>if admin login ---->admin can see all report like a,b,c</div><div>but </div><div><span style="font-size:14px;">a -->if a login can see only there report like </span>filter,data ,or report<span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></div><div>b--->if b login can see only there report like filter,data ,or report</div><div>c--->if c login can see only there report like filter,data ,or report</div><div><span style="font-size:14px;">like i have more than 100 user .</span><span style="font-size:14px;">so how to restrict admin and user according to login page using a custom page by jsp and report Design </span><span style="font-size:14px;">it possible by custom jsp page or by report Design itself could some one can help on this???</span></div><div>Am using 4.3 version birt report(open source)</div>

<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>this kind of functionnality is an option with the commercial version of BIRT. </p><p>It's not present in BIRT OS.</p><p> </p><p>You can create a custom page which will pass the username to your rptdesign as a parameter for instance.</p><p>After that, you will be able to use it in a query or in a filter.</p>

<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>here is a very simple example.</p><p> </p><p>index.jsp calls an "authentification page" (=checkUser.jsp).</p><p>If the user name is correct, than a dynamic hyperlink is created</p><p>If you click on it a report will be generated with the user passed as a parameter.</p><p> </p><p>Upload everything on your server and open the index.jsp file.</p><p> </p>

<p>Thanks for u r effort its useful ..i have Few Question</p><p> </p><p>i)First is, if Admin wants to see their report i want to create a separate Report for admin .</p><p>ii)Second is,For example user may 100 member mean i want to create 100 report according user and then check their User name and password according to it Page to Redirect for jsp.</p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">my problem is am using a MySQL Databases so now </span></p><p>there is Query like "select admin,user from Roles" so am trying to login with admin as username="admin" and pass="admin" <span style="font-size:14px;">it want to Redirect to admin Reports as like If "User " may have a separate login name and password</span></p><p>so now how can i find by this is admin Reports and Separate User Reports ???</p><p>Am learner so could u explain clearly it useful to achieve my goal??</p>

<p>As I said, privileges management on reports/content/data is not something present in BIRT OS.</p><p> </p><p>You have to build it yourself.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For instance, you can build a table with the report name and the user group who can access to and after display in a jsp page the content of this table.</p><p>You can also use a report to create this list and hyperlink to generate the selected report on-demand.</p>
