Subversion problems synchronizing ".rptdesign" files

<blockquote class=""><div><div>We are a team developing reports with Birt Eclipse plug-in and we have problems when synchronizing our work using the Subversion (SVN) version control system.</div><div> </div><div>We have problems with elements in an .rptdesign file which reference to elements located in Birt libraries (.rptlibrary document). We get the elements in the .rptdesign reset with the library elements; meaning that we lose the overwriting of the elements in the .rptdesign we did over library elements.</div><div> </div><div>We suspect that the problem above is related to the following conflicts we find when synchronizing files in subversion:</div><div>SVN synchronization functionality allows us to compare the .xml file generated by Birt and we see that Birt modifies element identifiers. For some of the modified identifiers, we recognize the elements which they belong to but for others we don't.
