Text displayed in Merged Columns Rendered Incorrectly
CS_IN_TX

Text added to a field placed in a merged column area is not rendered correctly in the report viewer when the table size is adjusted. In the attached example, the second table is a copy of the first table, the only difference being the change in size. Exports to PDF and Excel display the text data correctly. The text appears to have wrapped based on where it would have been located the 4 merged columns, left justified. Its white-space settings in the report remain set to auto. The appearance can be corrected by selecting the text field and selecting No Wrapping in the Properties/General tab-Whitespace section.

I have a added a screenshot and report demonstrating this. This was not an issue in BIRT 3.7.1. We are upgrading to Birt 4.3.1 from 3.7.1 and have tens possibly hundreds of reports with this problem. It is the same with a data element displaying text. Thank you.

It looks like this is a problem with internet explorer. When I output to Chrome and Firefox the report displayed as intended. Can you file a bug for this?
